Hello! My name is Brie! I know, pretty cheesy. Just like my art! I am slowly practicing and getting better every day with my crafts, trying simply to fulfill my dreams of becoming an artist. Because of ADHD, I find it difficult to be able to make the same thing more than once. So, each work you find on my page is one of a kind and completely unique!
These works were made by me, but are no longer for sale. But I don't mind sharing some of the details that inspired and went into these works! I also do not mind doing custom orders, so if you were to request one of these works, I would be more than happy to recreate them to the best of my abilities!
The Koi And The Frogs painting here was done on paper that probably shouldn't have been painted on, but this work had helped a lot with the makings of other project, like the Koi table just below, and the Koi Camouflaged Seal on my shop! It was mostly made for that frog trend that was going on for some time, but I've just always loved Koi fish.
The Koi table was meant to be a version of the Yin/Yang symbol, with shimmering water and scales. Again, really love Koi. This one took some time, learning how to blend the blues and whites and such to create the fins and how to shape it all to fit together. It was a little off center, but it is still a work I'm very proud of.
THIS work is also one of the ones I'm very proud of, taking inspiration from an assortment of big cats, from tigers to leopards, and even cheetahs! Cheetahs are by far my favorite animal, but I'm a sucker for assorted patterns. I could never bring myself to give her eyes, because no eyes I could give her would be fitting enough to compare to her regal beauty. A little haunting, sure, but I always found her to be beautiful. Unfortunately, the dogs had gotten to her. Though I guess better her than any actual cats!
There you can see more of the patterns on her back, each golden spot painted on carefully and each twisted swirling stripe sculpted into the clay. In my opinion, she is the epitome of elegance!
One of the incense burners I've made! Either satanic or day of the dead, it really depends on the viewer. Or perhaps I took inspiration from both? Either way, this piece and it's sibling, the mushroom burner a couple pics down, were sold to a smoke shop. This one specifically, though, was the first time I ever made anything "human-like" in my projects. Other than skulls and bones, you'll likely never see anything human-like on my page. As I'm sure you've noticed, I care more for making things born of nature and the wilds. Hence the vines and roses adorning this one!
A nice up-close look at the skull, showing the finer details that went into this project. This burner was very fun to create, and helped a lot with future projects as well! If I ever get commissioned for another burner, I'm definitely taking it!
This incense burner was even more fun that the skull one. I absolutely love mushrooms, at least to look at, and this one functions as a two in one! As you can see below, the top of the big mushroom can be taken off to allow for a cone burner! and you still have a place to put a regular stick on at the opening of the mushrooms base! This one also featured glow in the dark patterns, as did the skull on, however I did not get pictures of that before selling them.
You can see a small part of the glow in the dark patterns in this photo, taken before it could fully dry, and if you look close enough to the top of the big mushroom, you can see some of the dried glow in the dark as well. Definitely one of my more useful projects, if you enjoy incense burners and mushrooms!
